As the Chair and Chair Elect of the Northern ACEs Collaborative (NAC), we would like to welcome you to the first North State Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) Virtual Summit!
NAC is a six-county collaborative between Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Shasta, Tehama and Trinity counties focusing on identifying and addressing opportunities for policy and systems change that mitigate issues of trauma and domestic violence. Many Northern California regions are disproportionately affected by high Adverse Child Experience (ACE) scores as it relates to domestic violence compared to other regions in California. Domestic violence is an indicator in the ACE spectrum along with other Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) which play a critical role in creating healthy environments and Communities.
This summit is one of the many important efforts happening in our region to address this issue area. And since making this event virtual, we’re happy to welcome all those joining us from across the nation and outside the country all doing important work around ACEs.
We look forward to your participation and to your contributions to making long-term impacts in the Northern California region, and beyond, to build sustainable and healthier communities.
